Pre-College Modern V Honors/EDE Syllabus
The Pre-College Modern Dance course and the Enloe Dance Ensemble are designed to support each other and function together facilitating the intention of the Pre-College Magnet Curriculum. This course is designed to prepare the advanced dance student who is considering majoring or minoring in Dance in college.
Class content for this course will build on the student’s solid understanding of modern dance technique, dance history, anatomy, choreography, and performance. Students are expected to explore and push their individuality in expression/interpretation within the class material.
Participation in this course requires additional commitments including: after school/weekend rehearsals, field trips/travel, extra duties, and responsibilities inside and outside of the standard class time.
Daily Grade Guidelines
The Dance Department emphasizes in-class participation that includes a high level of physical performance, a positive attitude, and effort expended equaling 100%. This document details how students are graded each day.
